Get your games in!

Hi Ballers!

This is a friendly reminder that to be eligible to play in the final tournament on September 7th, you must have played at least 7 games for your own team. Games played as a sub for another team do not count toward this total.

If you are unsure of how many games you have played up until now, just go to your team page on the website or choose your team from this link.

Scroll down to the bottom of your team page and you can see how many games you have played up to date.

We are more than halfway through the #bestseason ever, so let’s keep it going!

BISL Provincial Team

Hi all,

As you may have seen on the Facebook page, Bowen Island Slopitch League is eligible to send a team to the SPN Slopitch Provincial Championships.  We have never had this opportunity and the executive thinks it’s a great chance to represent Bowen Island at a tournament.

The tournament is September 13th – 15th, 2019 in Langley.  There will be games on Friday (the 13th) so there is a chance we will need to play a game at 9 am that day.  We won’t know until the schedule is finalized.

Since there could be games on all three days, we will be staying at a hotel in Langley (likely the Sandman) so we will need to book rooms.  The Hotel room rate will be approximately $165- 180/ night. We would like it if everyone were staying at the same hotel but understand if you’d rather commute in each day.

There may be a sponsor for the team so some of the costs (jerseys, accommodation, etc) may be subsidized.

But at this point, we just want to know who’s interested!  We would like to take a team that represents Bowen Island and the league.  There will be space for 18 players so that works out to 3 players per BISL team.  Since the tournament is quite competitive, we want to send a team that will be competitive and we will have no problem doing that, but it means that there will have to be a selection process of those who are interested.

So let us know if you want to come!  Everyone is welcome to express interest because we believe everyone in the league would be a great representative.  Once we have a list of players that are interested, the selection committee will begin to build the team.

Please fill out this form to let us know you’re interested.

Thanks for making this the best season yet!

See you on the field!
